Larissa Rose is the Director and Founder of GG Enviro, and a multi-award-winning professional in climate change, sustainability, and renewable energy. With a strong focus on practical and innovative environmental solutions, she is dedicated to advancing climate adaptation and mitigation efforts. Her extensive work in regulatory compliance, policy advocacy, and project management and expertise in carbon assessment, waste management, and cultural heritage, is extensive with supporting local governments and private sectors. A Bond University alumna, Larissa is now an Adjunct Lecturer at Bond University returning to the university to teach and inspire the next generation of environmental leaders. Larissa lives on the Gold Coast and enjoys surfing, the beach and everything ocean wise.
Mauricio D. dos Santos
Passionate researcher with a recent post-doctoral experience with a decent academic partnership with some institutions around the world in the last ten years. University lecturer with a notable law and governance background and more than twelve years of practice on legal education in person and online, at undergraduate and graduate levels. Interested in coastal-marine environmental issues, marine spatial planning, coastal management, low impact recreational uses of coastal zones, circular and creative economy, climate change and its innovative initiatives and tools for adaptation and stakeholder engagement. Daniel Long
Daniel Long is the Professional Conference Organiser (PCO) for the World Surfing Conservation Conference (WSCC) 2026. With a strong background in event management and a deep passion for sustainability and community engagement, Daniel brings over 20 years of experience in delivering impactful events across Australia. His work is defined by creativity, precision, and a commitment to aligning conference goals with environmental values. Daniel is currently completing a Bachelor of Event Management, further enhancing his expertise as he leads the planning of WSCC2026 on the Gold Coast. His vision for the conference blends innovation, collaboration, and celebration of the world’s surf and ocean conservation communities.
